STARS

STARS.......

There are millions of stars in the sky.

They are present in the day also,
but we are not able to see them due to sunlight.

They are like the sun.
Fixed at one place
         and giving out light.

They are different from each other,
         ...in size, shape and colour.

They look small in size
...because they are very, very far away from us.

The nearest star to us is... the SUN.

Some stars are found in small groups...
...called constellations which are fixed to a proper location in the sky.

There are 88 constellations which are recognised throught the world.

These constellations were given names...
                        depending on their shape.
Like.............
Ursa major...The big bear...

 Orion(hunter)....

 Scorpious(scorpion....

Gemini...the twins....

And..Etc...

...In olden days.....
Sailors and people on long journeys...
                        used to find their way...
by looking at these consellations in the sky.
